We did it! We made it through 2024! And what a year it's been! Not only have we cemented our status as a TikTok Shop Star Seller—a badge given to stores that excel in areas such as shipping, customer service, and general product satisfaction—but we have also made a ton of new, best-selling products, and made even more new friends!

There are too many great events to name! But some of the major memories that stand out are meeting several of you at the Norseforged gatherings, our car fresheners going viral, and being invited to TikTok Shop Headquarters in NY! We even had a stint where we started streaming more across platforms like Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram!

It's been a crazy and fantastic year, and despite the impending TikTok ban, we expect to grow even more and be able to continue to provide the same content and products that you have grown to love.

That being said, here is a list of the best-selling items from 2024!

This one feels pretty obvious for why it would come in second place. Sometimes you want to try something before you spend more money for the whole bar. And while we don't have all of our soaps and shampoos as samples yet- there are still 19 different ones for you to try! We include all of our signatures- from The Raven- Tea Tree, Citron, & Mandarin to Shield Maiden- Lingonberry & Spice. We also have some soaps and shampoos that aren't signatures- but you can almost always find them in the studio regardless, like Before the Raid- Black Violet, Cedar, and Saffron, or even the Malachite- Tea Tree and Rosemary Shampoo bar.

Okay...so we are a soap company whose biggest product of the year was a car freshener. At least you can say we are multi-talented! We did go insanely viral in April for these fresheners, so I guess I am not surprised. Who can blame anyone? These air fresheners are also made with the same phthalate-free, cruelty-free, EU standard fragrances that we have all come to love, AND they are in a cute glass skull that gets to hang from your car mirror.

Top 3 Best-Selling Solid Fragrance

I know that our solid fragrances/perfumes/colognes/whatever the hell we are calling them didn't make the top three in terms of most sold products for the year. However, they were tied for 4th place with the Hidden Stone Raven Hand Soaps. It feels like a shame to not mention them when I know we have several customers who proudly let us know during the lives which fragrances they are sporting that day. So with that, our top three fragrances are:

3. The Bifrost- Vanilla, Patchouli, Black Pepper, & Orange Peel 

Previously known as, "Aurora Borealis" and "Anarchy"- this is Deb's favorite fragrance out of all of the scent combinations we have at BOV. It's even an essential ingredient to her personal roll-on fragrance that she wears consistently. 

Not only can you get The Bifrost in a solid fragrance slider tin, but you can also get it as a wax melt, shampoo, or soap! 

2. The Kraken- Bergamot Black Tea, Suede, & Sea

I blame Patrick for this one. It's his favorite, and I know he keeps telling you all how good it is when he does his packing lives. I am also convinced he is giving nothing but Kraken samples- but I don't have enough evidence to support that.

But if you want to smell like a sexy pirate- here is the fragrance for you! Good thing it's one of our signature scents and can be found in a multitude of products!

1. Fenrir the Wolf- Sandalwood & Vanilla

I could blame Lyall for this one, but this is truly a beloved scent. A soft vanilla that's perfect for everyone and anyone. And like Kraken, Fenrir is also one of the 10 BOV signatures and is in loads of products.

We know that wax melts are the third, best-selling item of Birds of Valhalla. But out of curiosity I decided to delve in deeper and see which ones were considered, "the best of the best". And I honestly never would have guess the #1 spot.

3. Fenrir the Wolf- Sandalwood & Vanilla

Are we shocked? Absolutely not. Fenrir has proven time, and time again, that even if it's not the #1 fragrance for a specific product, it is the #1 fragrance across all of our items here at BOV. Let me just drop the link again if you want more Fenrir-scented products!

2. Freyja- Blackberries & Cream

This berry scent is mouth-watering, and I can understand why someone would want their home to smell like this. A newer BOV signature that has made its mark!

And for those of you who have been around a moment- this is also the same fragrance as our old Amethyst soap. So if that was your jam, this wax melt and these products will be too.

1. The World Tree- Deep Pine & Oud Wood

This one honestly surprised me. While the World Tree is a BOV signature scent, it's not one that I realized was popular as a wax melt! But everyone likes pine scents- especially around the holidays. And with our new addition of oud wood- this fragrance stands out against similar fragrances by other brands. Good thing we have it in several more products for you to try!

Top 3 Best-Selling Soaps:

I could do best-selling sample soaps, but where is the fun in that? I want to know what those samples convinced you all to buy. Despite what the records show- I swear we are a soap company first!

3. Honey Moon

Am I disappointed this isn't first place? Yes. But I am happy it placed! Honey Moon is THE soap for sensitive skin. It has limited micas, and made with real tupelo honey, and ground oats, providing an even deeper moisturizing experience. This is a signature that will never change, and will always be available in similar soothing products like candles and wax melts.

2. Fenrir the Wolf- Sandalwood & Vanilla

The bar that started it all for the Fenrir scent. This soap bar is now coconut-free for all of our fans with coconut allergies, AND we even have a variation that contains real coffee for some extra exfoliation! And if you want a matching shampoo- we got you!

1. Raven- Tea Tree, Citron, & Mandarin

A simple black bar- the Raven soap is a fan favorite for those who need some extra exfoliation. It’s color is due to the amount of activated charcoal shoved into the bar, along with ground oats, to try and give our metal worker friends the ability to get clean. The tea tree is an added bonus- helping to balance oily skin.

And now, the moment you have all been waiting for. The Top 3 best-selling air fresheners. And before I tell you which ones are the winners- I must say it was a tight call. Not only that- but if some of the fragrances had come out earlier in the year, there may have been a different outcome. Our winter scents have only been out for a couple of months- but a few of them were right up there with some of these winners.

We get it- you like wolves and vanilla. We all like wolves and vanilla. That's why we have so many Fenrir products!

2. Poe Pourri- Leather, Tobacco Flower, Raw Honey, Hickory, Smoked Oud, & Books

Seeing at this car freshener was only introduced in the fall- it’s honestly impressive that it came in second place. If given the chance, I could see this freshener making the #1 spot next year…That is if we kept it as a year-round fragrance. Do you guys think we should? What about the Poe-Pourri soap? 1. Mists of Valhalla- Leather, Tobacco Flower, Raw Honey, Virginia Cedarwood, & Hickory

In a lot of ways, this fragrance is similar to Poe-Pourri, so I am also not shocked to see this freshener in the #1 spot. Especially since it had all year to make its mark, as opposed to Poe who only had a few months. 

The biggest difference is the lack of Smoked Oud and Books. So if that’s not your thing- we’ve got you covered!
