Our Variety Pack of signature natural soap samples is the ultimate introduction to the world of Birds of Valhalla, and it's a must-try for all our customers. It contains 10 of our most popular soaps, a solid fragrance, and a lip balm. We have also made a 9-pack that is free of common allergens- such as lavender, cinnamon, and pine. Our variety packs are always available, unlike other soap makers who often run out of their sample packs. It's a convenient way to experience the scent and feel of our products, especially since we don't have a physical location.

Our CEO, Deb, recalls the history of the Variety Pack:

"It started in 2019 with a Facebook Live event where people selected each scent for a dollar or so, which were then put in a cardboard box without any proper packaging. Despite its rustic appearance, the first variety box was a huge success, leading us to experiment with different methods of delivering the Variety Pack, including tiny heart molds, perfume paper sticks, tiny vials of scent, teeny melt-and-pour soaps, odds-and-ends, cigar-wrapped soaps, different shaped samples, and bagged samples, until we found the perfect solution."

One of the first Variety Packs, when we were known as 3 Birds Soap. The shapes and sizes were all different, and the packaging was simpler, with the scent names being written out on each one.

The first of the metal tins, sold under the name New Valhalla Soap. Before we got fancy with the embossed tins, it was stickers on stickers on stickers!

This 'magazine-ad chic' art piece showed the world that soap can be a lot more than just natural. We proudly display our focus on making products that are food-based and ethical as well.

Our Variety Pack of handmade, natural soaps has undergone significant changes over the years. This year, we have introduced a new embossed tin that contains 10 different soaps, a solid fragrance, and a lip balm, that showcases our unique style and exceptional quality. Although the new tin looks beautiful, the real beauty is in the contents. Each soap in the pack delivers a distinct experience, and once you choose a favorite, the journey begins. For those who may be unfamiliar with our Signature Collection, we have compiled a comprehensive breakdown.

Witch's Brew Facial & Body Soap (Neroli White Jasmine)

Witch's Brew is a spell-binding, all-natural facial soap that has a delightful scent reminiscent of a spring garden. It is created using a magical blend of witch hazel and tupelo honey that soothes and revitalizes acne-prone skin. Please note that on average, this soap lasts for four months when used twice a day.

 

Freyja's Berries & Cream (Black Raspberry, Vanilla)

Freyja is not only the Norse goddess of love, beauty, and fertility but also war and battle, making this strong yet sensual fragrance a fitting tribute. Swirls of purple, pink, white, and black activated charcoal represent luxury, mysticism, and power. Designed to enchant your senses, this berries and cream signature soap's smooth, fruity fragrance profile includes black raspberry, vanilla, and musk.

Ragnar's Revenge (Cucumber, Mint, Aloe, Melon)

Ragnar Lothbrok was a legendary Norse hero known for his warrior spirit. Although he stood for strength and resilience, he only longed for one thing: farmland of his own. Thus, we named this moisturizing aloe natural soap Ragnar's Revenge to imbue it with his courage and vitality, and the ingredients conjure the spirit of the farm Ragnar dreamed of one day calling home.

We also add aloe vera and spearmint essential oil to provide that soothing sensation that beachgoers and winter sports enthusiasts crave year-round.

The Kraken (Bergamot, Leather, Wood)

The Kraken is a unique soap inspired by the legendary Scandinavian sea monster. The aroma of this bergamot natural soap evokes the fresh scent of a ship at sea: the salt in the air, wooden timbers that creak with the motion of the waves, and the hold full of exotic fruits and fragrant black tea.

Swirls of blue, black, and green, created using ethically sourced micas and activated charcoal, simulate crashing waves and boundless seas.

The Raven (Tea Tree, Citron/Mandarin, Charcoal, Oats)

Take to the sky with The Raven, an all-natural tea tree soap, handmade using high-quality ingredients. Honoring Odin's ravens Huginn and Muninn, this natural citrus and tea tree soap derives its rich black color from activated charcoal. 

The Raven is a tea tree soap that's suitable for the body, face, hair, and beard. It is made with several food-based oils, activated charcoal, ground oats, phthalate-free fragrance oil, and essential oil.

Fenrir, the Great Wolf (Sandalwood Vanilla)

The time has come to let your inner wolf break loose! Our handmade sandalwood vanilla signature soap is inspired by the legendary creature of Norse mythology. He symbolizes destiny and strength, as well as chaos and destruction. It should come as no surprise that he's the offspring of Loki, the trickster god! 

This natural soap's gentle formula is suitable for all skin types and includes ground coffee and oats for extra exfoliation.

Midgard's Serpent (Nag Champa, Blood Orange)

In Norse mythology, Jörmungandr is a giant sea serpent who encircles Midgard, the realm of humans. This legendary creature was the offspring of Loki and the giantess Angrboda. He's often shown devouring his own tail, a symbol called the Ouroboros, representing eternity and the endless cycle of life. Jörmungandr also stands for the order and chaos of the cosmos, balance, and renewal. Accordingly, this natural soap is imbued with scents that promote a sense of balance, rejuvenation, and relaxation.

Midgard's Serpent is a nag champa and blood orange soap scented with natural fragrance and essential oils. Often used in incense, nag champa is a traditional Indian scent with notes of sandalwood, warm amber, and floral notes of rose and lily of the valley. Blood orange adds a vibrant citrus fruit element that is sweet and uplifting.

Shield Maiden (Lingonberry Spice)

The Shield Maiden is a natural, food-based soap which honors those brave Norse and Viking warrior women. Just as the shield maidens protected themselves and others, this bold and beautiful soap protects and nourishes the skin.

Not only will this soap make you feel great, but it also looks fantastic, with vibrant streaks of blood red mica and rich black activated charcoal evoking the spirit of the battlefield. 

Yggdrasil, The World Tree (Deep Pine)

The World Tree, Yggdrasil, is an immense tree that plays a critical role in Norse mythology and cosmology. Its branches extend into the heavens, encompassing the Nine Realms, and its roots delve into the underworld. At its base are three wells, which are the sources of wisdom, fate, and primal energy. Yggdrasil represents the cycle of life, renewal, resilience, and the interconnectedness between wisdom and the cosmos.

Fittingly named after the Tree of Life, this pine scented soap's revitalizing fragrance will awaken your senses, leaving you refreshed and rejuvenated. If you're pining for a natural soap that goes against the grain, The World Tree is fir you.

Honey Moon (Oatmeal, Tupelo Honey)

Honey held a special significance among the Norse people. Legend said that the world tree Yggdrasil dripped honey instead of sap. Possibly even more importantly, honey was the main ingredient in mead!

We can't guarantee whether this gently exfoliating soap will improve your love life, but you will fall in love with its intoxicating scent and cute honeycomb detailing.

The contents of the Variety Tin may change slightly from year to year, with one or two bars being replaced, but our Signature line will always reflect our values, vivacity, and vibes.
