The Lore

In Norse mythology, Jörmungandr is a giant sea serpent who encircles Midgard, the realm of humans. This legendary creature was the offspring of Loki and the giantess Angrboda. He's often shown devouring his own tail, a symbol called the Ouroboros, representing eternity and the endless cycle of life. Jörmungandr also stands for the order and chaos of the cosmos, balance, and renewal. Accordingly, this natural soap is imbued with scents which promote a sense of balance, rejuvenation, and relaxation.

The Lather

Midgard's Serpent is a nag champa and blood orange soap scented with natural fragrance and essential oils. Often used in incense, nag champa is a traditional Indian scent with notes of sandalwood, warm amber, and floral notes of rose and lily of the valley. Blood orange adds a vibrant citrus fruit element that is sweet and uplifting. 

Vibrant black, purple, green, and pink colors, made with ethically sourced micas, swirl together like Jörmungandr's shimmering scales. Additionally, each bar of soap bears the distinctive texture of his enormous snakeskin, highlighted with eco-glitter.

  • Olive oil's gentle cleansing properties help to remove dirt and impurities, and above all results in clean, glowing skin without stripping it of its natural oils. Coconut oil and castor seed oil also contribute to the soap's moisturizing properties.
  • Blood orange historically has symbolized vitality, passion, and life force. The aroma aids in stress-relief, mental clarity, and concentration.
  • The scent of incense has been used throughout the ages to cleanse and purify, and as a means of connecting with the divine.
  • Sandalwood is a warm, woody scent used in aromatherapy for centuries to promote relaxation and reduce stress.

Made in small batches. Every batch varies in appearance, but each bar is approximately 5.5 oz. Our soaps last the average person 4-8 weeks, depending on use and storage.

I wasn't sure about this from the description but then I got a free sample and knew i immediately had to buy an actual bar. It smells so good!!

Couldn't Be Happier

I made an order for my daughter before she left for university. Unfortunately, there was a mistake in the shipment. The resolution was quick and easy, and they even rushed the replacement so it would arrive before move-in day. I will be ordering from you again and again.

It’s good

I bought this and Raven at the same time. Loved Raven and just finished the bar so I started using this one thinking I’d love it too. It’s good and the scent was not my favorite but my real problem with this is I break out in hives when I use it so after using it. I’m not sure why because I’m not allergic to any of the ingredients. I hate that I can’t use it and feels like a waste.

I really truly struggle with which scent I have personally tried and love, because Deb & Crew definitely hit a lot of home runs in the smelly goods department! Midgar's Serpent puts up a strong fight for that top spot, and is always in my top three favorites from first ever free sample with my first car diffuser order, till now with a full bar I rotate with my other two top favorites. Honestly, I love the Medusa vibes I personally get from this one. I'm curious if anyone else feels the same?!
